Cub Scout Series

Here is a series of planes I did for Tania. She is going to use them for her Cub Scout Camp to teach the kids about paper airplanes. I am placing them here as well for everyone's enjoyment. All the planes can be printed off on standard 20 lb copier paper with black ink. All the planes fold the same, and the instructions are below. It is a standard Nakamura Lock design. Grab something to custom color them and have a ball!

Start with the pattern this way.
Fold it from the left side over to and even with the right side. Give it a good crease.
Unfold.
Flip Over.
Fold the upper left corner down to and even with the center crease.
Repeat with the upper right corner, folding it down to the center crease.
Fold the top down until you see the dashed line, and crease.
Repeat the fold on the left hand corner until you see the dashed line on the reverse.
Fold the right hand corner down until you see the dashed line on the reverse.
Now fold the little triangle up to cover the two folds you just made.
Fold it in half like so, creating the Nakamura lock, which holds the folds together.
Rotate the plane 90 degrees.
Fold the top wing down, until you see the dashed line, and give it a good crease.
Repeat by folding the top wing down, until you see the dashed line, and give it a good crease.
Flip over.
Pop open the wings, and let it fly!
